Pork Fried Coleslaw
Why This Recipe?
Chef John's Egg Roll in a Bowl is absolutely delicious, but I've made some tweaks over time. I personally love the taste of fried cabbage. The ingredients here last a ridiculously long time if stored properly and they're all extremely cheap. Compared to instant ramen, it's only a little more expensive, takes about as long, and tastes way better.
Ingredients
- ½ lbs ground pork
- 1 lbs cabbage
- 2-3 large carrots
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ green onion (optional)

- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp mirin or sake
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp ketchup
- ½ tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp grated ginger
- ¼ tsp white pepper
- ¼ tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Add all sauce ingredients into a jar and shake well to combine.
